Fr Marcus Holden

Fr Marcus Holden

Fr Marcus Holden is a priest of the Archdiocese of Southwark. He was ordained in 2005 after six years of seminary at the Venerable English College in Rome. He became parish priest of Ramsgate and Minster in 2010 after serving as assistant priest in Balham (2005-2008) and Royal Tunbridge Wells (2008-2010). He holds several academic degrees in theology including a Masters from Oxford University and a Licentiate from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Among his many publications are the Evangelium Course and the Saints of the English Calendar. He is co-founder of the Evangelium Project and the British Confraternity of Catholic Clergy and regularly works with the media on behalf of the Catholic Church and in the production of documentary films on faith and religion. He is a popular speaker and lecturers at the Maryvale Institute in the MA Apologetics course.

Fr Mark Higgins

Fr. Mark Higgins grew up in Carshalton and went to the John Fisher School, upon leaving there he studied Politics at Warwick University from which he graduated in 2007. He then spent a year out in Valladolid, Spain, followed by a job at a call centre in Coventry. Thereafter, he spent six years in formation for the priesthood at St John’s Seminary in Wonersh. He was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood in 2015. Prior to his appointment as Assistant Priest in Ramsgate, Fr Mark was at St Andrew’s, Thornton Heath.

Fr. Leszek is the resident Polish Priest at St. Ethelbert’s, he can be contacted on 07468570445 and is available after the Polish Mass on Sundays at 12 noon.

Kay Roberts

Kay Roberts

Born and brought up in Dartford, Kay trained as a secretary and worked in London before moving to Guernsey in the Channel Islands in the 1960s. There she worked in several secretarial posts, including Secretary at Notre Dame du Rosaire Catholic Primary School in the island. Her last job before retiring was Personal Assistant to Guernsey’s Attorney General. Kay moved to Ramsgate in 2009 to be nearer family, since most of them now live in the London/Kent area.
