Weddings usually take place on Saturday afternoons.

Marriage is a natural reality intended by God. It is, in its essence defined as the committed, lifelong, monogamous love of a man and woman, intrinsically open to children. We believe this to be the foundation of society and culture. This natural reality has been raised by Jesus Christ to the dignity of a sacrament. All Catholics are invited and obliged to enter into marriage as a sacrament (all other marriages are invalid for Catholics).

Couples are requested to apply for marriage six months in advance. Several meetings with the parish priest or deacon as well as a marriage preparation course are required. The parish is also in the process of setting up a marriage support and engagement ministry (due 2014). Weddings can take place at St Augustine’s or at St Ethelbert’s Church.
