Among its other activities, the Parish provides spiritual, catechetical and pastoral care and activities for children and young people, as well as vulnerable adults. The Parish is committed to protecting and safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

The parish is committed to following the guidance of the Catholic Safeguarding Advisory Service (CSAS), to safe recruiting of volunteers and to full co-operation with the civil authorities in any case where the safety of children or vulnerable adults is threatened.

In addition, the Archdiocese of Southwark has its own Safeguarding Commission. Helen Sheppard is the Safeguarding officer. The Archdiocesan website has further information and contact details.

The parish of Ramsgate and Minster is committed to working with the Archdiocese of Southwark’s Safeguarding Commission and CSAS. Our own Safeguarding representatives are John Letts and Kate Morgan. You can contact Kate Morgan on 01843 584005.

All of the above organisations and people will be happy to assist you in any enquiry regarding safeguarding. However it is also open to you to contact the police or social services directly. If you consider that a child or a vulnerable adult is in immediate danger, you should call the police on 999.
